Are you new to the area and don't know where to start? Trying to get out of your comfort zone and meet new people? Here are some free resources to help you get connected with the Upper Valley Community!

  • Upper Valley Young Professionals (UVYP): UVYP is a free group that brings together young adults (~20-40) who are looking to meet new people socially and/or professionally. Learn more at uvyp.org & join us on Discord. (Discord is a group text messaging platform like Slack where we're most active). - Website Link & Discord Link

  • Upper Valley Business Alliance (UVBA): Resources for things to do (100 Things to Do in the UV, Local Upper Valley app), tourism inquiries, places to dine, shop, professional services. - Link

    • Local UV App: Android and iOS app about upper valley business listings and events. - Link

  • Vital Communities: A phenomenal community resource that works to build community for new and longtime UV residents! Check out their 'Welcome to the Upper Valley' page for lots of great links to community resources including local adventures and quests to explore the region. - Link

    • UV Listserv: Vital Communities hosts several community email listservs that function like noticeboards where anyone can post about upcoming events, items for sale, news, etc. Emails come in digest format early every morning. - Link

    • Upper Valley Welcome: This program matches new residents with established residents who share their interests and can help them connect to the community. If you're new to the area, you can sign up to be matched with a host. Established UVers can volunteer to introduce new folks to the area. - Link

  • UV Facebook Group: The local UV Facebook group where people post events, community notices, things for sale, ask for recommendations, etc. - Link

  • Local Email Newsletters:

    • Daybreak: Local news and events newsletter sent weekday mornings. - Link

    • Artful: Upper valley arts & culture newsletter sent periodically. - Link
